New GM for South Western Railway

HUBLI: Deepak Krishan has taken over the charge of post of general manager, South Western Railway on October 28 in place of Kuldeep Chaturvedi, who took voluntary retirement from service on October 25 as he has been posted as vice chairman, Railway Claims Tribunal (RCT), Kolkata.

Deepak Krishan is at present working as general manager, Southern Railway, Chennai. Deepak Krishan has done his MSc (Engg.) and MPhil in Social Sciences from the Punjab University, Chandigarh. He also did his PG diploma in public administration from New Delhi.

An officer of 1974 batch of Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE), Deepak Krishan worked in various important posts in different part of the country. Before joining Southern Railway, he was general manager, Eastern Railway. He underwent training at the Indian Railway Institute of Civil Engineering (IRICEN), Pune for advanced track technology.
